Open a Worksheet

  1. Go to Cash > Position and Forecasting > Worksheets.

  2. The Worksheets screen will open with a list of all existing worksheets.

  3. Use the column filters to locate your desired worksheet.

    1. The filters default to “Starting with.” You can change them to “Contains,” “Is equal to,” “Is not equal to,” or “Ends with.”

  4. Select the desired worksheet.

  5. The worksheet opens.

Switch to a Different Worksheet

  1. Open a worksheet.

  2. Start entering a worksheet ID in the Search field icon to view suggestions.

  3. Select the desired worksheet.

Change Display Layout Options

The worksheet setup configures default layout options. Some of the layout options can be temporarily changed after opening a worksheet but all layout settings will return to default the next time you open the worksheet. To make permanent changes to your worksheet, make the changes in the worksheet setup screen.

  1. Open the worksheet.

  2. Select Options.

  3. Select the options you would like to see for the worksheet.

    • Data Placement: Select the data placement from the drop-down list to indicate the pivot (called SINGLE here), row and column content (date, user code, and account in any placement order). This defaults as it was set up in the Display tab of the worksheet setup screen.

    • Balance Types: Change the visible balance type (actual, estimate, forecast, and any combination of them) if more than one was marked for inclusion in the Display tab of the worksheet setup screen.

      • If a balance type is not marked for inclusion in the worksheet setup screen, it will not be available here.

      • If a balance type is marked and the eye icon has a slash through it in the worksheet setup screen, that balance type will not show by default but will be available to select here.

      • If all balance types are selected, you can view a combination of any one or two of them, or all three at the same time.

    • Show Transaction Count or Hide Transaction Count: Show or hide transaction counts. This field will default as you set it up but can be changed.

    • Variances: If two balance types are selected, you can select whether to display the variance in an additional column and whether the variance should be displayed by amount or percent. The available options are dependent upon the setup.

    • Amount Display: Display numbers with decimals, without decimals, in thousands, or in millions.

    • Precision: Round or keep precision.

    • Fill Empty Cells or Hide Empty Cells: Show or hide empty cells.

    • Currency Equivalent: If nothing is selected in the worksheet setup screen FX Rates tab, then this field will default to Local Account Currency. Other currencies can be selected.

    • Day Types: Day types to be included. Mark or unmark the day types.

  4. Select Refresh.

Export and Print Worksheet

  1. Open the worksheet.

  2. Expand the More drop-down list.

  3. Select Excel to export the worksheet to an Excel document that is automatically downloaded.

  4. Select Print to display the worksheet on on a new page.

    1. Right-click on the page to save it as a webpage or print it.

Change Date Selection

  1. Open the worksheet.

  2. Select a new date type from the drop-down list if desired (Transaction Date, Value Date, and Process Date).

  3. Select the desired date or date range.

    • If the worksheet pivots on Date, only one date can be selected.

    • If Date is in the rows or columns, you may select a range.

Fast Entry

Fast entry allows you to enter data into a worksheet. In order to use fast entry, your worksheet must be set to view in local currency (currency indicator at the top left of your worksheet must be “Currency: Local”).

To create a fast entry:

  1. Open the worksheet.

  2. Mark the Fast Entry checkbox.

  3. Select the cell where you need to add data.

  4. If the cell you selected has a user code tree or account tree, enter the user code or account.

    1. This information auto-fills for cells with single user codes and accounts.

  5. Enter the transaction amount.

  6. Enter a description.

  7. Enter a comment if applicable.

  8. Select Save and Close. This automatically updates and refreshes your worksheet.

Drill Down into Worksheet

Worksheets provide drill-down options to give you the level of information that you need.

Drill Down into Trees

  1. Open the worksheet.

  2. Select the bold account or user code titles (indicating trees) to drill down into the trees.

  3. A drill-down screen will open that expands the tree into all accounts, user codes, and subtrees (if any).

  4. If subtrees exist, select the bold title to drill down another level.

  5. Return to higher levels by selecting the desired level from the drop-down list and then selecting the up arrow.

Drill Down into Transactions

  1. Open the worksheet.

  2. Select the data in the cell you want more information for.

  3. A drill-down screen opens that expands the data into the one or more transactions that make it up.

  4. Under the Actions column you can select the available options to interact with the transaction. When opening, editing, or cloning a transaction, it opens transaction details in the same screens accessed through Balance Explorer.

    • View

    • Edit

    • Clone

    • Delete

  5. Use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to perform additional actions.

    • Go Back: Return to the worksheet.

    • Excel: Export the transactions into an Excel document that is automatically downloaded.

    • Create New: Create a new transaction.

    • Void Selected: Void the selected transaction.

    • Delete Comments: Delete comments from the transaction.

Target Balance

  1. Open the worksheet.

  2. Select any target balance amount in the worksheet to open the target entry window.

  3. The target entry window opens. This window displays the target balance and Template (model) ID that drives how the transfer would be drawn through the Payment solution. Refer to Payments templates: Create.

  1. Open the worksheet.

  2. Select one of the following to review recommended transfers:

    • The bold Recommended Transfer name in the worksheet

    • Any amount assigned to the Recommended Transfer field

    • The Transfers button

  3. The Treasury Recommended Transfer screen opens.

    • If you selected the Recommended Transfer name, the transfer consideration includes all recommended transfer amounts, including any that don’t have payment templates assigned to the target balance.

    • If you selected a single amount, that is the only recommended transfer that opens for consideration.

    • If you selected the Transfers button, the transfer consideration only includes recommended transfer amounts that have payment templates assigned to the target balance.

  4. Mark the checkboxes for the transfers you want to create.

    1. Recommended transfers without a Model ID can’t generate a payment.

  5. Select Create Transfers.

  6. A confirmation screen will open to indicate the status of your transfers.

  7. You may download the screen to Excel or return to the worksheet.

Reconcile Transactions

Worksheets that have reconciliation rules are designated by an R button in the top right corner of the worksheet. You can open the Reconcilement Client screen directly from the worksheet to perform reconciliations.

  1. Select R.

  2. The Reconcilement Settings pop-up window will open.

  3. If you want to narrow the results, select the account (including accounts of digital assets), user code, and date you want included in the transactions.

    1. Only accounts, user codes, and dates that are included in the worksheet can be selected.

  4. Select Reconcilement.
