Purpose
Bank files are how actual balances and transactions get into the Ripple Treasury Platform. Some arrive on their own through a bank connection, an API, or SFTP, and some you upload yourself when a bank isn't connected.
The bank file list is the audit trail for all of it. It shows every file that landed, where it came from, and whether every account in the file was matched to an account in Cash Forecasting. Transactions in a file whose account can't be matched never reach a forecast, so this screen is where you catch a gap before it shows up as a missing balance.
Navigate Bank File Loads Screen
From the Cash Forecasting solution, go to
Treasury>Banking>Upload Bank Files.
The
Bank File Loadsscreen opens with the files loaded for your bank accounts, grouped by date.
Search and sort as needed:
Search: Enter information in the search bar to search for bank accounts based on the Name, Account Number, Bank, Business Unit, and Currency fields.
Sort: Select any column heading to sort the bank account list by that column. Selecting the column multiple times toggles between ascending and descending order.
Review the columns:
Name: A full name that identifies the account.
Account Number: The full account number identified by the bank.
Bank: The bank that holds the account.
Business Unit: The business unit associated with the bank account.
Balance Date: The date of the last closing balance.
Balance: The amount of the last closing balance.
Currency: The currency in which the account is held.
Unmapped: The number of unmapped transactions.
Mapped%: The percent of transactions mapped.
Green Donut Chart: 100% of transactions are mapped.
Yellow Donut Chart: 75–99% of transactions are mapped.
Orange Donut Chart: 50–74% of transactions are mapped.
Red Donut Chart: Less than 50% of transactions are mapped.
N/A: Account has no bank transactions.
Bar to Side of Account: Indication of whether the balance is positive or negative:
Green bar: Positive balance
Red bar: Negative balance

Upload Bank File

Select
Upload Filein the top right corner of theBank File Loadsscreen.Under
File Format, selectBAI2,MT940,CSV, orCAMT.For a CSV upload, select the sample file link to download a template and use it as the basis for your file.
Select
BROWSE COMPUTERand choose your file. Files can be up to 150 MB.Select
NEXT: VIEW CONTENT.Review the preview of the balances and transactions the file contains. Anything wrong with the file is highlighted at this step.
Select
Saveto load the transactions, or selectBackto replace the file first.
If the file contains transactions dated on or before the date your bank transactions are frozen, the system tells you before you save. Those transactions won’t move a locked submission.
Find and Fix Unmatched Accounts

Select the file name, or hover over the file, select the More icon, and select
View.The
View Bank File Detailsscreen opens and tells you how many statements the file contains and how many accounts are unmapped.Select
More Informationat the top of the screen to list the account numbers that couldn't be matched. In the statement list, an account showsNoin the mapped column when it isn't matched.
Unmatched accounts almost always come down to one of two things:
The account doesn't exist in Cash Forecasting yet. Refer to Cash Forecasting Bank Accounts: Create and Edit.
The account exists, but its number isn't identical to the number in the bank file — a missing leading zero, or an extra dash or space, is enough to break the match.
Once you correct the account, load the file again to bring in its transactions.
View or Download the Original File
Open the file and select the option to view the original file contents. This shows the raw file exactly as it arrived, along with who uploaded it and when — useful when you and your bank are comparing notes on what was actually sent.
Delete a Bank File
Hover over the file, select the More icon, and select
Delete.Choose how far the deletion goes:
Delete file in current submission: Removes the file but leaves any transactions that are part of submitted actuals, so submitted balances stay as they are.Fully remove file: Removes the file and all its bank transactions, including those in submitted periods. Balances for those periods are recalculated.
For a full removal, confirm that you understand the impact and type the code shown on screen.
A full removal can’t be undone and it changes the balances of past submissions. If you’re not certain it’s the right file, contact support first. Balances can take a few minutes to update after a deletion.
